Experience
Through my undergraduate career I have: - tutored all levels of math (from multiplication to differential equations and vector calculus) - tutored physics (College Physics 1 and 2), statics, thermodynamics and other engineering classes - tutored inorganic chemistry (obtained CRC Press Chemistry Achievement Award, Bunker Hill Community College, 2009) My approach is to teach the students how to be more confident in their problem solving skills, so that they don't need me anymore. I expect the students to participate in the lessons, hopefully they would be doing most of the talking. I might assign some homework every once and a while. My experience has taught me to be patient, check the student's understanding often, and ask them to explain their thinking as if they were teaching me.
