Experience
I work as a private tutor for a client who has been diagnosed with ADD. I began tutoring my client when she was in 4th grade and have been consistently working with her over the last 5 years; she is now a freshman. I provide homework help in all subjects and develop innovative study skills and time management techniques that cater to her specific needs. I am CBEST certified and earned a 4 on the AP English Lit test. I have taken classes on working with various levels of literacy, classes that discuss teaching theories, and classes on Young Adult Language Arts, as well as classes that focus on grammar, punctuation, and proper college level essays. I have experience working as a camp councilor where I taught children from ages 7-12 classes ranging from science to comics and currently work in child care at the YMCA where I implement learning and recreational activities.
