Experience

I have attended Cerritos College’s 2009 graduating class. Then, I transferred and became a student at California State University, Long Beach from 2011 through 2014, pursued my bachelor's degree as an undergraduate student in Liberal Studies. I was about to search for a full-time job during the summer in the first two weeks of May until the last week of August. I currently live in Bellflower. There is a little bit of my history: I have been a tutor for approximately 2 years, which I mainly tutor mathematics and English/Language Arts, along with my volunteering experience. As far as volunteering at Esther Lindstrom Elementary, my speciality is school preparation, For example, I was responsible for developing action plans based on students’ academic goals, which becomes simple. I enjoyed working with the tutee to develop a tutoring plan that fits the student’s academic needs, participate in tutor training and development sessions, and many more. Outside of school, I enjoy video games, computers, books, golf, sports, track, spending time with family, and so on, but I also enjoy learning about about educational interactive shows and hobbies as far as I enjoy my own. I have provided college students in math and essay writing, specifically in basic math, algebra, and freshman composition, with an emphasis on real numbers and grammar and syntax skills. I worked with students to develop achievements and self-sufficiency. I developed action plans based on students’ academic goals. I offered assistance with developing study strategies. I worked with the tutee to develop a tutoring plan that fits the student’s individual needs. I prepared tutoring sessions to ensure the tutee’s academic development. I assessed the tutee’s progress throughout tutoring sessions. I participated in tutor training and development sessions. I wanted to become a tutor because I successfully completed the course for which tutoring services are being provided or a higher level course in that subject area with a grade of A or B. I had knowledge and competence in the subject matter. I enjoy tutoring the subjects, such as Reading, Writing, and Mathematics, for which services are being provided. I was able to explain concepts to others effectively. I effectively communicated study strategies to ensure academic success. I worked comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds.
