Experience
I graduated from Purdue University, where I earned my BS in Biomedical Engineering. Now, I'm studying for my master's degree at the University of Southern California, where I'm learning about Medical Device and Diagnostics Engineering. I have had the opportunity to work as a mentor in high school, where I helped freshman or new students feel comfortable in the school. I've also worked at Purdue as a mentor in the student orientation program, where I eventually became a team leader, and then a supervisor. I've discovered, through these mentorship opportunities, that I am positive, open minded, patient, and have a friendly personality. I'm excellent when it comes to meeting and interacting with new people. I tutor various math and math-based subjects, such as algebra at all levels, microeconomics, and physics. The subject I like tutoring most is calculus, whether regular level or AP level. I like the way it challenges my students to apply various concepts to real-life situations. I appreciate calculus greatly because of its application to the everyday world. When I tutor, I focus on what the student is learning, and how they best learn it. I individualize lessons based on a student's preferred learning style. In my free time, I like to golf, spend time outdoors, and read.
