Education

California Polytechnic State University - BS, Mathematics

Experience

I graduated from California Polytechnic State University (San Luis Obispo). I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and later a master's degree in Education from California State Dominguez Hills. I now teach in the LAUSD at a Harbor area high school. I am a teacher for Algebra 1 and a Journalism/Creative Writing course. I first became a tutor during high school, and I continued tutoring as a college student for my side job. I hold a degree in Math, but I feel the most at ease tutoring for the sciences (Physics and Chemistry), History (American, European, and World), and editing English papers. I also tutor Algebra 1 and 2, Elementary and Middle School Math, and Literature. I chose to become a tutor so that I could make a difference in the lives of my students. I strive to motivate my students to want to learn, and it is a challenge that I daily embrace. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, writing, bicycling, and photography.
