Experience
I have been tutoring for the past 6 years starting in high school. I teach classes to students from 2nd grade through high school in groups, but I also have 4 years of experience tutoring one-on-one. I scored over a 2100 on my SAT and enjoy the test. I have tutored people for the SAT as well as for AP classes. I enjoy being a tutor because I remember how hard it was for me to get some of the bigger concepts in school. However, once I worked hard enough and was able to understand it, it was the best feeling in the world. I love being able to help others understand how to do things that have given them so much trouble in the past. I love hanging out with kids and helping them learn not just as a teacher but as their friend. I've found that teaching down to students isn't as helpful as when you interact with them and stimulate their minds. Keeping them alert and happy will help them both accept and retain information better. Some of the people I have tutored in the past have asked to connect with me on facebook because they didn't think of me as just their teacher, but as someone they could relate to and feel comfortable around.

Hobbies
I am an active person. I love being outside, running around, and playing sports. However, I know that when it's time to study you need to buckle down and focus. Sometimes I have to study for 14 hours a day for 6 days straight. I just got out of a law school finals week. I love animals, playing video games, wood working, construction, basically anything I get to make something with my hands. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy and make my own kombucha, ginger ale, and sushi. I am really a carefree guy and like to take life one step at a time. Taking smaller bites of things is easier to swallow. Taking big bites makes you more likely to choke.
